The Dry Look’s cracking power-pop/pub-rock/‘60s mashup proves that rock nerds who grew up on their older sblings’ Stones, Who, Kinks and Yardbirds records finally have a band they can call their very own. With a stripped-down guitar//bass/drums attack and harmony-tinged vocals, this Chicago trio draws from mod, pop, punk, new wave, garage, jangle and roots influences, mixing their wry originals with obscurities from The Jam, Kinks, The dB’s, Shoes, Flamin’ Groovies, Nick Lowe, Buck Owens, the Ramones and countless others.
Drummer Leslie Wall-Santos has held down the beats in several Chicago bands through the years and currently propels local country outfit John Ballantyne’s Crazy Heart. He and bassist/singer Kevin Brady have teamed up in local bands all way back to the mid-80s. Mike Ritt the guitarist/singer is a veteran of such bands as The New Normal and Shades of Al Davis, and previously played alongside Kevin as the drummer in Chicago rock band House of Brunettes.
Julie’s Bringing Plants to Repot! Shannon will be painting! Bryan is going to Perler. Josh is going to throw some clay on a wheel (and maybe will show you how). What will you do? Bring in a craft. Finish off that holiday gift. Get 20% off draft beer! Join us for Crafts and Drafts!

Silas McClatcher first started singing as a young teen with his identical twin brother, Paul (d. 2006), in Holly Spring, Mississippi. Silas moved to Chicago in 1965, to Milwaukee in 1975, and back to Chicago in 2011, always for better employment opportunities.
One night Milwaukee’s Legendary Bluesman, ‘Stokes’, called Slim up to sing and it was from that point forward his singing became quick in demand, and he received his official blues name “Milwaukee Slim”.
Milwaukee Slim sat in regularly with Stokes and also with Gene and the Soul Gang as they toured all over WI. He has established a rich resume which includes opening shows in WI for Koko Taylor, John Lee Hooker, and Phillip Walker. Milwaukee Slim performed for the Green Bay Packers (2000), and has performed at many WI and IL Festivals over the years, including WI State Fair (1998 – 2004), Shermanfest, and The Chicago Blues Festival. He has been a member of the Midwest Blues All Stars, The House Rockin Blues Review and his own Milwaukee Slim Band.
